Certification CST
The Certificate for Sustainable Tourism (CST) program consists of the
categorizing cortication of tourist companies according to the degree to
which their operations approach a model of sustainability-in terms of a
lesser impact on the natural, cultural, and social resources of the country.
In order to achieve this objective, four fundamental components of
performance are evaluated.
The physical-biological component, where the interaction of the company with its immediate environment analysis.
The physical, plant component evaluates company’s internal systems and processes, from the handling of waste, to the use of efficient technologies to save water and electricity, to the type of products or consumer goods they purchase and use.
The external client component consider the companies internal systems and train, and make guests aware of the importance and need to contribute to conservation and respect ethical standards or codes of conduct.
The social environment component acknowledges the identification and interaction of the establishment with its area of influence.
It also includes evaluation of the business efforts to avoid corrupt practices, socially undesirable and generally achieve benefits for our community.
